Along the way, we’ll lead you through creative prompts as we take time to gather inspiration from the beautiful places we visit. This retreat features multiple local artists in a variety of mediums, along with our new Wander & Create watercolor workbooks! Create the perfect keepsake as we paint our journey, from soothing seascapes to exotic florals, fruits, mermaids, and more!
This journey is for anyone looking to explore their creative side, and all of our activities and workshops are for beginners and seasoned artists alike! No Art experience necessary!

Set across 12 lush acres, wake up steps away from Saint Lucia’s most beautiful private beach, tucked away amongst lush plants, trees, and a kaleidoscope of colorful bird life.

Dive into the fun world of art journaling with our new Wander & Create watercolor workbooks! Illustrated by award-winning artist Sally Ann Langley each workbook features 8 delightfully whimsical illustrations that highlight our journey for the perfect keepsake of our adventure!
Each workbook also features swatch and technique pages along with custom journal prompts, blank pages for sketching & more!
Hi Cassie here, as someone with a long background teaching art I am so excited to have the opportunity to create with you! I’ll not only be walking you through watercolor basics but I have several workshops outside of the workbook planned from soothing seascapes to exotic florals, fruits, mermaids and more!

This retreat features a variety of local artisans from potters to woodcarvers, batik to chocolatiers!
Batik House – rooted in Indonesia St. Lucia is famous for its colorful take on batik! Made using traditional methods (wax-resist dyeing) on natural fabrics each piece is wearable art.
Pottery & Traditional painting – hand-painted pottery and paintings in the studio of Michelle Elliot
Wood Carving Studio – crafted from local hardwoods native to the island each sculpture is one of a kind.
The Art of Chocolate – Along with artist visits we’ll enjoy a hands-on workshop at a local cocoa plantation where we’ll learn the art of chocolate from bean to bar as craft our very own chocolate bars, yumm!

Hi Everyone! Cassie here, founder of Wandering Women Retreats, art and travel lover!
St. Lucia has long been on my bucket list for its stunning scenery and I can’t wait to adventure with you there!
I’ve cooked-up a seriously dreamy itinerary that has a taste of it all! We’ll not only be staying at a beautiful resort surrounded by beautiful naturescapes but with creative workshops and amazing day trips this retreat is the perfect place to nurture your creative side!

Our Itinerary
DAY 1: Thursday, April 1st – ARRIVAL, COCKTAIL SOIREE & WELCOME DINNER
Arrival in Saint Lucia, make your way to our boutique seaside resort and settle in. Join us at the beachside bar for a fun cocktail hour and meet & greet followed by a special welcome dinner under the stars.
DAY 2: Friday, April 2nd – CHOCOLATE MAKING WORKSHOP, FRENCH CREOLE LUNCH, ARTISAN SHOP VISITS, EXOTIC FLORALS ART JOURNAL SESSION
Our adventure starts on a sweet note with a visit to the Howleton Estate. A mansion perched atop the hillside it houses gorgeous batik designs along with other local handcrafted wares…
We’ll enjoy a tour of the estate along with free time to shop their artisan goods before diving into some chocolate making! Learn the ins & outs of chocolate from bean to bar while crafting your very own custom chocolate bars to take home.
Next, it’s time for a scrumptious lunch! Savor local cuisine while surrounded by art for a one-of-a-kind meal at Pink Plantation. Housed in a 147 year old french colonial home with sea views, it has been lovingly restored by restaurateur and St. Lucia artist Michelle Elliot.This special spot features an on-site art gallery of her work along with her delicious french-creole culinary creations!
After lunch we’ll visit the Edovlic Art Studio, home to beautiful wood sculptures. Crafted on the island using local hardwoods, each sculpture is one of a kind.
After relaxing from the day’s adventures join us at the golden hour for our first watercolor art journaling session! Hosted at our private oceanfront gazebo we’ll create with the sea as a backdrop for the ultimate inspiration. We’ll explore watercolor basics such as color blending, techniques, special effects and more before diving into our first project Exotic Florals!
Day 3: Saturday, April 3rd – CATAMARAN DAY, PITONS, SUGAR & CHATSTANET BEACH, SNORKELING AND COCKTAILS
Enjoy a day at sea with a private Catamaran tour! Sail by the iconic volcanic pitons with epic views, swim in turquoise waters, and snorkel your way through coral reefs for a fun day out in the sun!
Our excursion includes visits to iconic beaches such as Sugar Beach famous for its white sand and sweeping views of the Pitons along with Chastanet Beach known for its striking black sand and amazing snorkeling.
This full-day excursion includes a delicious lunch and cocktails for a relaxing day among the waves.
Day 4: SUNDAY, April 4th – CORAL SEAS ART JOURNAL SESSION , COOKING CLASS & RUM TASTING
We’ll start the day on a creative note! Taking inspiration from our adventures at sea we’ll paint our very own whimsical underwater scene.
After our workshop it’s Cooking Class time with a hands-on demo by our local chef followed by a family-style lunch. Enjoy a little rum tasting along the way and learn what this iconic island libation is all about.
Enjoy a free afternoon to lounge poolside, swim at our private beach or walk the many nature trails.
Day 5: Monday, April 5th – WATERFALL AND MINERAL POOLS, BOTANICAL GARDENS, VOLCANIC MUD BATHS, VILLAGE VISIT
Waterfalls, volcanoes, and jungles oh my! Our adventures take us to the south side of the island known for its stunning scenery.
Our first stop will be to Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens. Experience the beauty and lushness of the tropics,visit the rainbow hued waterfall, and soak in the soothing warm waters of the mineral pools!
Next we’ll journey to the only drive-in volcano in the Caribbean. Enjoy the unique experience of ash mud baths said to have many therapeutic properties. Afterwards we’ll wash off via waterfall at the nearby Tollfre Waterfall.
After cleansing our cares away in the waterfall we’ll head to the picturesque village of Soufriere with its charming colorful pastel houses and shops. Enjoy an authentic beachside fish fry with free time after to explore the local shops.
Day 6: Tuesday, April 6th – MYSTICAL MERMAIDS ART JOURNAL SESSION, OPTIONAL SPA APPOINTMENTS, MERMAID PARTY & SUNSET PRIVATE BEACH DINNER WITH CELEBRITY CHEF
We’ll start the day with our last art journaling session focusing on mystical mermaids! Create your own custom watercolor mermaid along with some fun group projects that celebrate our time on the island!
Enjoy free time to pack away your one-of-a-kind finds, book an optional spa appointment or relax beachside with a pina colada or two!
In the evening join us for a fun mermaid-themed cocktail party! Afterwards, we’ll be whisked away to a secluded private beach for sunset dinner catered by a celebrity chef for the perfect closing to an amazing adventure!
Day 7: Wednesday, April 7th – DEPARTURE
Breakfast and Departure. Remember to stay in touch with your new creative besties and we hope you Wander with Us on our next adventure!
